Trees give the main structure to a garden and attract a wide range of wildlife. Trees provide wildlife with shelter, food and nesting sites. The size of your garden will determine the number and type of trees you can have, but most gardens can support at least one.
You could manage trees as a group, or as a specimen in a border, hedge or lawn.
Coniferous and deciduous trees bring different features to gardens - from year round foliage in the case of the former, to the varieties of shape, leaf colour, flowers, fruits and seeds found in the latter.
