Golden eagles, with their huge wingspan, keen vision and powerful claws, have long been an inspiration for poetry and prose, as well as being an icon for Scotland. Opening timesThe centre is open Monday–Saturday, 10.30 am–5.30 pm, and Sunday 12 noon–5.30 pm. Please note, though the centre is open on Saturday there will be no RSPB officer available on that day. How to get thereTake the short ferry crossing from Corran (south of Fort William on the A82) to Ardgour. Follow the A861 through Strontian to Salen and then turn left onto the B8007 for the final nine miles to Glenmore.
