Home to southern England's largest guillemot colony, Berry Head in south Devon is a magnet for wildlife.

The limestone cliffs of Berry Head are also home to breeding fulmars, kittiwakes and shags.

From our viewpoint, experience the spectacle of all these nesting seabirds crowded together on the rocky ledges.

Friendly staff will also be on hand with telescopes and binoculars to point out the other birds that live here, including stonechats and cirl buntings, and to answer your questions about the colony.

This event is free, however, there is a small car parking charge.

Opening times

Friendly staff will be at the viewpoint Sunday to Thursday and bank holidays, 10 am-4 pm.

There are two telescopes and four pairs of binoculars available for you to use. There is a CCTV link from the guillemot colony into the visitor centre. Hot and cold drinks, plus light snacks are available from a café on site.
