Experience state-of-the-art displays on Scotland's amazing wildlife and much more at Kelvingrove Museum in the heart of Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow's West End.
Watch an ever-changing array of wildlife films in Scotland's Wildlife Gallery, including Gordon Buchanan's Glasgow urban foxes, white-tailed eagles and images from inside a blue tit nestbox that is situated right outside the museum.
RSPB Information Officers will be on hand to answer your questions and help you find out more about the museum exhibits, the natural histrory of the park and conservation in general.
There are also regular childrens' activities including quiz trails and ID sheets. We also run guided walks through the park, where you may see kingfishers, goosanders and perhaps the peregrine falcons that hunt in the the area.
Guided walks and tours are drop-in, however it is advised that you call ahead of your visit to make sure they are taking place that day. If you can't make our weekend guided walks, it may be possible to arrange one for another time.
This project is free. However, there is a parking charge at the museum of £1 for four hours. Opening timesRSPB Information Officers will be at the Scottish Wildlife Gallery Monday-Thursday and Saturday, 10 am-5 pm, and Friday-Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.
Free hour-long guided walks take place every Saturday and Sunday at 1.30 pm.
The Information Officers run free wildlife themed guided tours within the museum almost every day, at 12 noon and 3 pm. Currently these tours are looking at the endangered wildlife on display in the galleries, including leatherback turtles, tigers and albatross. Tours last around 40 minutes.
For both walks and tours meet at Sir Roger the Elephant in the 'Life' Court of the museum.

How to get thereKelvingrove Museum and Park is just 2 miles from Glasgow city centre and the M8 motorway (signposted).
There are numerous bus services from the city centre to Argyll Street and Sauchiehall Steet (2 mins from the museum). The nearest Glasgow Subway (underground) station – 'Kelvinhall' is 5 mins walk.
