Wildlife wonders in Wimbledon Park

21 June to 6 July

Binoculars or telescopes available for useRSPB staff on hand to help

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and join us at the historic Wimbledon Park to watch an array of birds and wildlife in and around the lake and woodlands.

Watch prehistoric-looking cormorants dive for fish, and be dazzled by the many colours on show from a wide range of dabbling ducks and geese, including tufted ducks, mallards, coots, great crested grebe, Egyptian geese and mute swan's.

A telescope at our viewpoint gets you close to the wildlife on show, and throughout the project we will be running loads of children's activities with prizes.

It's free and there's no need to book, so go wild in the park and discover London's amazing wildlife.

Opening times

Friendly staff and volunteers will be around daily, 10.30 am-4 pm weekends, and 11 am-4 pm weekdays.

Facilities

Refreshments and toilets are available at the nearby Cafe.

How to get there

Wimbledon Park is on the London Underground District line. Alight at Wimbledon Park, and it is then just a short walk from the underground station following the RSPB signs to our viewpoint.
