Join us at Harewood House for your chance to see some of Yorkshire's red kites.

Volunteers with telescopes and binoculars will be on the terrace helping you spot these birds as they soar over the beautiful parkland and lake, or perch in one of the great trees.

Although the viewpoint is free, visitors must pay the entrance fee to the grounds of Harewood House.

Opening times

The watchpoint will be manned 12 noon-2.30 pm every Saturday and Sunday.

Facilities

Two telescopes and two pairs of binoculars are available for you to use. Toilets and refreshments are available on site.

How to get there

The village of Harewood is centrally-placed in Yorkshire at the junction of the A61/A659 on the Leeds/Harrogate road. The M1 begins just the other side of Leeds and feeds into the trans-Pennine M62 which in turn feeds into the M6/M5 on the western side and the M18/A1 on the east.

There are brown tourist signs direct to Harewood House and there is ample free parking.
