A big congratulations to Buzzard, the chosen winner of the RSPB Community Good Egg Award for December 2009!
Please do join me in thanking Buzzard for his helpful posts, knowledge and contributions.. a good egg hip hip! :o)
YAY!!!!!!! Very well done Buzzard and wholly deserving. (p.s. can we all have our goldies back now please LOL)
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Nice one Buzzard!
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
Hi Buzzard
Well deserved award, and I love you for the information that you give us here {big smile}
Your pictures are out of this world too!! (huge smile}

Kathy and Dave

Well done Buzzard ! You truly deserve it! Even if its for stealing 97% of the British Goldfinch population:-D that's still an achievement that needs recognition.
You have been really friendly and supportive to me.
Bring on the photo's too.
(I did have about 50 starlings in my garden this afternoon, do you think I can have one soon for stealing all of those?)
Congratulations Buzzard!

Great news Buzzard. I'm so glad. You are always there with help and sensible advice, and now you have a new camera you will always be there with photographic evidence.

A great big thankyou to you all for your kind comments.
I certainly didn't expect any kind of recognition for sharing my knowledge. It is something I enjoy.
If I can give constructive advice and answer some questions in a detailed, informative manner that helps someone or something then I find that rewarding in its self.
My main reason for joining the forum was to engage with people who are as passionate and enthusiastic about birds as I am.
It was also the chance to share my experiences and knowledge and at the same time to learn from people from all around the UK and further afield. There is so many aspects of ornithology that are new to me, even after nearly four decades.
I really do appreciate the time you have all taken to congratulate me and for the friendliness of all those who I have shared threads and posts with.
My bestwishes to you all. Happy Birding in 2010
Regards Buzzard
