Hi Birdwatcher, I totally agree it is frustrating and also somewhat annoying!
I'm also somewhat disappointed that there has been little or no communication from anyone from the Tech Team explaining or advising what the solution is to this erratic problem?
VaLo was the last RSPB moderator to respond to a post that I started days ago. There has been no update and no explanation as to what is causing all the bugs in that thread.
There has been numerous posts from several members with a host of technical issues, but non of us know if they are been resolved and what is causing all of these erratic problems!

Yes, it's getting very frustrating. I reposted some photos to my gallery which had disappeared and they too have now vanished.
I've got more blank spaces in my gallery than I have photos and I don't know how to get rid of them.

PLEASE TECHNICAL PEOPLE, CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON, AND WHETHER ANYTHING IS BEING DONE?????
WE ARE GETTING VERY FRUSTRATED WITH POSTING PHOTOS WHEN ONLY CERTAIN PEOPLE CAN SEE THEM, AND EVEN THEN NOT ALL THE TIME. THIS IS MOST EVIDENT ON FORUM POSTINGS, BUT ALSO IN THE GALLERIES - IF AND WHEN YOU CAN ACCESS THE GALLERIES THAT IS.
ALL WE WANT TO KNOW IS IF YOU ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, AND IF SOMEONE IS LOOKING INTO IT.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi
I have lost photos, and posts
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Hi,
I posted a pic to forum which showed up fine , then it was gone a couple of hours later.
My guess is it'll be back later, then probably gone again.
I spoke to the Lodge a couple of times about the web problems over the last few weeks - they recommended doing a refresh- Wow- wish I'd thought of that :)
I still think maybe the website is more popular than expected- it's been running less than a year- so levels of use etc haven't formed a pattern.

For advice about Birding, Identification, field guides, binoculars, scopes, tripods, etc - put 'Birding Tips' into the search box
I am also finding the disappearance of pictures very frustrating. There seems to be no pattern as they do not disappear all the time for everyone. I have made pics as small as possible before uploading, but this does not seem to make any difference.
HELP!
Sarah
PS refreshing, logging on and off and restarting pc does not make a difference!
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...

it's the weekend, the Lodge is probably on mimimum staff with no one in the computer dept. :(
Let's see if we get a post on the feedback forum on Monday when they get out of their meeting and check the site :)
Well I see it's still happening- pictures are coming and going at 1730 on Monday eve.
I guess the web team had their meeting and went home
:((
is it just me or does anybody else think the problem is worse outside RSPB office hours? The problem didnt seem to arise earlier in the day.
Maybe the cleaner hits a cable with a Hoover ?
seymouraves Hi, is it just me or does anybody else think the problem is worse outside RSPB office hours? The problem didnt seem to arise earlier in the day. Maybe the cleaner hits a cable with a Hoover ? S
No I think the cleaner pulls a plug out to put the hoover on ! I think the contributions are just too many for the current system to handle properly, its getting to be a very popular site
Hi Seymouraves
It certainly is still happening .
I thought your mystery bird on your other post was a " LESSER SPOTTED BOXED REDCROSS" LOL !!!!
Best regards
seymouraves Hi, Maybe the cleaner hits a cable with a Hoover ? S
It is not improving with the passage of time either,
I can still only see the Redcross on your Mystery Wildfowl post which other members seem able to see .
Must have a lot of carpet to vacuum before she puts the plug back in !!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Regards
Oh well, as things aren't getting any better, it's time we all had a good laugh, and these posts are certainly making me chuckle.
