Missing Blog Posts link to Campfield Homepage - 13th May 2013

Two more of our Blog Posts which have clearly been published to my Blog, do not appear on the Campfield Homepage under "Latest Blog Post"!

Further to this, for a while now, all the blue links on our Home Page, link to the same files i.e. 'latest blog posts' instead of 'latest forum' and 'latest photos'. Could you kindly look at this issue too?

Blog Posts update failure 16 4 13

A recent Blog posted has not updated to the Homepage again. It can be read by clicking the blue 'Read our blogs' link on the homepage but does not show up under Latest Blog Posts. This same problem was reported about 3 weeks ago and was corrected fairly promptly. Why is it recurring?

Have checked round a number of other Community sites and the same thing seems to be happening there too.

Hi,

I haven't been able to upload pictures all evening, is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I've tried logging out and back in again,starting a new thread etc but no joy!

It goes through to the correct screen but won't allow the 'BROWSE' button to work????

Anyone any ideas????

Lochgarten: New blogs not on Blog page

The Lochgarten Blog reached by links from the web cam page or through the Reserves section in the community does not have the last two blogs on it.

The ospreys are due back and people, perhaps new this year, are going to be looking for the latest information. It is reasonable for people to search via the webcam page or to look for the Reserve to find the latest news. I only found out about this by chance and I have posted a warning on the Blog Page. There must be a link missing for new blog posts.

Campfield Marsh Blogs getting stuck.

The Homepage for our blog is not getting updated with new blogs. The last one to go on was dated the 23rd March but a more recent one was posted yesterday and has not appeared. Also when I look at the News page, it also does not contain anything beyond 23rd March either. Can you tell me what is happening. Is the problem local to Campfield or is it general?

Agonizingly slow

Every time I visit this forum - no matter what time - I find pages load so slowly I inevitably give up waiting.Frequently pages don't load at all - after 30 seconds of waiting I get a 'page unavilable' error.

There is something seriously amiss here. It should not take 30 seconds or more to load the next page. This is what it was like in the 90s with 14400kps modems! With superfast cable capable of streaming HD video flawlessly, there is no reason a simple web page should take more than a second to load.

Is there nowhere that explains how to navigate the Community website? I've just spent ages trying to find out how to make a comment.

It says 'New Post' at the top but I've no idea what I posted under. 'Book club' whatever is that? Please help? And now trying to ask for help - you bring up something but there's no obvious way to find this comment box.

Hi,

For quite a while, I've been having to type in my email and password twice to log in. So long now that I'm cutting and pasting it in. That proves it's no mistype. Not sure if others are affected but I have to do this on all three internet devices I use. i.e. not my pc or browser that's the problem. Not sure if people are aware, or if anything is being done to address this? Are others affected?

Hello mods,

I recently created a spreadsheet, saved in Open Document Spreadsheet format (.ods), and wished to attach it to a post on one of the Loch Garten threads. However the software blocked the attachment based on file type. This seems strange, considering that MS Excel 97 (.xls) format files are allowed.

I'm not sure why there's a blanket ban on types unless specifically allowed; surely it should be a blacklist rather than whitelist system? However, in the interim could you or the technical people please add .ods as an allowed attachment format.

BTW it would also be useful to have the equivalent word processing format, Open Document Text (.odt) available as well.

Does weather interfer with the internet?

Can you give me any advice please, I have been trying to log on all afternoon, and eventually the Internet is working. Would bad weather affect the signal. We are with Sky, weather here is cold, and no snow. it is so frustrating, had Norton on the go etc. touch wood it is OK.

I posted a week or so ago that I was having difficulty in signing in to the forum unless I did this via the RSPB Home page. The difficulty seemed to sort itself out but now again I have to sign in through the RSPB Home Page. ( I keep signing out through habit).

Tonight, when I posted a couple of replies on the forum, the magic circle kept whirling round on the open reply box but the posts did appear to be registered as I received the automated emails confirming this.

I seem to be unable to refresh the pages unless I close down the site and then re - open.

Growing old waiting for pages to open

Anyone else having problems tonight?

Every other website I have tried is working super fast, as expected with my super fibre optic broadband, but tonight the RSPB forum is diabolical. It is taking 5 to 10 minutes to change pages. I have signed out and back again, cleared cookies, re-booted and so forth, but no change.

Now this post won't post!!
