Earlier in the week we were up at Saltholme RSPB reserve and before leaving we had the usual look in the shop at the optics and books when we noticed that there were some binoculars in the viewing area for the public to use.Being of a nosey nature we had a look through these and it was a pleasant surprise,These were the RSPB Puffin 8x32 binoculars and we were surprised how good they were for the price even though we had looked at them in shop conditions before.Though the colour was maybe a little dark (it was a dull day) I would be quite happy to use something like this. They are light, close up close to suit small heads an focus reasonably close all for less than £50 certainly one worthy of consideration for newbies, youngsters or just someone on a tight budget, not sure where you could get usable second hand at that price.
