I bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 a year ago to replace my Fujifilm Finepix F10.
I am afraid I have not really got used to it!
I still use my Fuji as it is so easy to use and feels 'right' when using it.Although it has only 6.3 mp and 3x optical zoom compared to the Panasonic Lumix 12mp and 5x optical zoom it takes cracking pictures
My previous camera to the Finepix F10 was my first digital camera,a Fujifilm Finepix with 3mp.My Mum is still using it and it looks like something out of the ark now but took stunning photos.
I am thinking of going back to a Fujifilm Finepix, maybe the FinePix F80EXR (10mp and 10x optical zoom) does anyone have any knowledge of this camera.
If cats could talk they would lie to you!
Hi Rachel,
I suppose it is a matter of what feels best, but what a shame you haven't used your Lumix much. I don't know about the model you have, but I have the FZ38 with 12mp and 18x zoom.
I takes a lot of practice to get used to a new camera - constant referals to the manual - lots of experiments - and a bit of googling about for websites with tips and advice. If I were you, I would put the other camera away and persevere with the Lumix, and remember this is not the best time of year for photography - the light is dreadful most of the time and all my garden pics are coming out badly. It isn't the camera, it's because my garden is a dark hole in winter!
Sorry, I can't advise on the Finepix F80 at all.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi Rachel
I think that Sparrow is right and she has given you some good advice.
I can't believe that the Finepix produces better results than the Lumix. I know lots of people who use the Lumix, and they produce excellent results.
With any camera, practice makes perfect. If you don't like the results on the setting or settings you have tried, then have a look through your manual for ideas, and try some different settings.
I think the Lumix is worth persevering with. :-)
Best wishes Chris

I think I will persevere for a little longer.
Its just that with both my Finepix cameras (very intuative) it took no time at all to get great shots the Lumix sometimes feels like hard work!

Can't believe I started this post a year ago!
I am still persevering with my Panasonic Lumix but still have my 'old' Fuji Finepix as I cannot bear (bare?) to let it go and still use it from time to time.
I may end up going back to a Finepix at some point but finances will not allow at the moment!
