I was thinking more plants or fungi, but mystery river monsters is a valid suggestion, it will certainly tax me in trying to think of some :)
Tough one for me, settled on the orange tip as I finally managed to get a picture of one this year after many missed snaps of flowers and leaves minus butterflies! Not perfect but good enough for me, cracking little creatures!!

Looks like the Orange-tip butterfly may take the lead thus far! Are there no earthworm fans out there?
Well I do pick earthworms up if spotted on concrete / tarmac and put them on soil, so I am a fan really! :-)
I am sure they are very grateful!
