Just had supper snack (a bit late tonight) - leftover cottage cheese on digestive biscuit and topped with bramble jelly - "mini cheesecake". Would usually have marmite under cottage cheese, but decided it was too late for salt.
Belated happy birthday Lindybird!
I hate marmite! For me it's Bovril! Lovely on toast! Yum!
My favourite sarnie fillings are egg mayo or toasted cheese & ham, in fact I like anything cheese & ham, pasties, chicken kievs, you name it!! :-)

Like egg mayo as a starter, but not fond of egg in sandwiches.
Back to tea ...
My daughter loves Earl Grey tea - I can't stand the smell. OH never, ever drinks tea. I prefer coffee, but sometines drink weak tea if he has a cappucino because cafes and tea-shops make coffee (even decaff) far too strong for me. Easiest option is usually for us both to drink hot chocoalate (without cream, but with marsmallows - and no sprinkles for me!).
Aren't we lucky to have all these options??!!
I like Earl Grey but OH doesn't. One I cannot bear, though, is Lapsang Souchong. Only ever tried it once - took one mouthful and enquired "Why does this tea taste of creosote?!!!!
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Re coffee - many shops do what is known as a 'double-shot' when making cappuccinos etc and often use the wrong sized cup for the size of shot or use (in my opinion!) inferior bitter tasting coffee, both of which make the coffee seem far stronger than necessary. Also, decaff is likely to be of lower quality than 'regular' coffee. In our tea room, obviously, our coffee is just right ;-D

Real Lapsang Souchong is smoked over pine needles to get the smoky taste, which not everyone likes. Can't answer for how all manufacturers achieve the creosote effect!
Will happily stick to hot chocolate, thanks!
Then come to question of choosing a cake which doesn't also have chocolate in - too much chocolate...?...
You need a double shot in a latté otherwise it doesn't taste of anything much. We do triple shot lattés at home which is a bit hardcore.....
Every day a little more irate about bird of prey persecution, and I have a cat - Got a problem with that?
Hi To All,

Not at all but then again it would not bother me as I drink gallons of it. I spent a lot of my younger years at sea and my nickname was teapot.
