Everyone seems to be enjoying the picture threads and I thought 'Autumn Colour' in the widest sense would be a good theme to allow us to share more pictures. So here goes.........

Hi
Love all the photos, the colours in autumn are wonderful, Autumn for me just takes the edge as I love spring as well for the fresh clean look of new growth.

They were taken at Westonbirt Arboretum in Glos. GL8 8QS. http://www.forestry.gov.uk/westonbirt It's a must visit every October. I'd be interested where your pictures were taken also.
There must be more people out there with Autumn/Winter pictures?????
Hi FP
I've just had a look at the link, thanks, and it does look a lovely place (will make a note of it). Mine were taken when we were at the new forest. The 1st and 3rd photos were also at an Aboretum near Boldrewood.

Not a lot to do today because of the weather so here are some more.........
Ahhhh.................swwwwwweeeeeeeeeeet :-)
As this thread has gone a bit quiet, and the howling winds and driving rain batter whatever may be left of this years autumn colour, here a few late additions from previous autumns.
Some luscious berries from Scotney Castle
Lackford Lakes (Suffolk WT) - a favoured site of ours, subtle tones from gentler times!
And the bottom of our garden - A final bit of in your face hue ...
Now I'm off to persuade myself that the earthern tints of winter are needed to set off the birds to their best advantage :-)
Super pics fittmonk.
Fabulous pictures everyone - the colours are superb.
Love all the colours, and that is something that is there to look forward to each year.

Small acer tree in our back garden- we keep it in a pot to keep it small, but it's a thing of beauty nevertheless. (I love autumn, all the colours & textures never fail to excite the eye)
