..........but no photo's. Shame but I was driving at the time. Still very excited about seeing them though!
Yesterday I saw a single House Martin flying around and then further down the road 2 or 3 of them perched, so that I could get a positive id.
Again today I saw a single House Martin flying around. All these sightings were on farmland in south eastern Lincolnshire, near Boston.
Today, when driving home, I see perched on a telegraph wire going across the road, this beautiful bird with tail streamers and underside colourings that could only have been a Swallow! This was in a village just south of Lincoln
Well pleased and thought I'd share it with everyone.

its very exciting, i was lucky enough to have two firsts over the weekend. lucky for me i had my camera handy and wasnt driving! i live in cornwall, and its swarming with swallows and swifts. havent seen any house martins yet but i know of some old nest sites so i may check them out and see if they re-use them. ;-)
