Hi EveryoneI just thought that I had not noticed our latest Good Egg Winners for ages. I checked the forum and there has been no winners for December or January. Did I miss it or have the Mods forgot.

That's OK Mrs T I just thought I would mention it.
Kudos of recieving one now seems somewhat diminished that the RSPB mods have forgotten about it for the past two months
What is the good egg award? as i am a new bee do not know!! lol
And the community at large don't seem to bothered either.
Def think the kudos has been tainted, lessened, which I feel is quite sad. Hey ho.

The RSPB forum MODS pick a monthly post that they think "special" for a "Good Egg Award" which gets you a certificate and badge.

The good egg award was originally for the most helpful, welcoming member of the community + was awarded monthly, there is a badge sent to those awarded + they were able to pop an extra wee bit, a good egg bar below their avatar.
When the site was remodeled there was much chat about various aspects + the good egg was revamped as well. There had been a bit of an issue with one good egg having turned + leaving a bad smell within the community!!
So the mods decided that they would not look at the overall 'nicest' person, but for the most interesting post to be made on the forum that month. There have been some interesting post high lighted as a result but I get the feeling that the community doesn't recognise this award the way it respected those that had been awarded this position in the past.
Hope that explains it a wee bit, without digging up any cans of old smelly worms!! Lol!!
