So sweet and fluffy!
The gathering of all the young dudes, I have a better pic of a dozen Mallard chicks that the mother was frantically trying to get them to a pond, first I had to stop the traffic to let them all cross the road, when Mom got them across she couldn't find a gap to get them to the water so I pulled up [& replaced] a picket fence and she gave a couple of quacks as a thank you, LOL
Lovely photos! Thanks for those
Lovely pics and story John. Easter eggs soon!

When you can sit and be accepted by the Vixen and her young, you know you have done the right things in life.
These may be the last you see of Canada geese if the proposed cull goes ahead on Lake Windermere this Spring. The L.D.N.P.A. plan to shoot nesting Canada geese, up to 200. See Change.org and Animal Aid websites for more info and petition. The R.S.P.B. seem to be ignoring their plight and fence sitting- so make the most of your delightful pictures.

A little older... still cute though :-)

April & May can often be beset by the blasts of winter, when a cold wind sends temperatures falling. Since this coincides with the flowering of the Blackthorn, the cold snap is known as a 'Blackthorn Winter'.
