Having nothing better to do on this wet afternoon I was going through some old photos and found this unusual roadsign. It's in Hutton near Preston. Probably not unique but certainly unusual.

There's one of these near where a friend of mine lives, at the bottom of a steep hill as you approach the village pond :)
psst, want to see my blog? http://mazzaswildside.blogspot.co.uk/
Perhaps the most unusual thing about this one is there is no obvious place where ducks might come from or go to. No farm , no pond.
I once saw a Lollypop lady escorting a line of ducks across one of our busy roads.
Enjoy the world around you and keep taking photographsSee all my photos here Cheers Judi
Its telling you to duck so you don't bump your head on the sign

a good laugh is better than a tonic
The next sign along should have a grouse on it for the people who didn't duck.
:-))
Seriously thinking about trying harder!
I remember seeing a sign for a frog crossing somewhere too! bless them.
LOL !!! It's great. And LOL you lot, brilliant !!
It's wishful thinking, or more likely an invitation, note the puddles.
The truth is I'm mad. We are all mad and many are too mad to know the truth.
We have 'caution - toad crossing' signs up at the lodge and it's wise to take heed of the sign as i've had to make way for the odd natterjack.
makes a change from a pelican crossing !!!!!!

lol Roger. I don't recall seeing any such signs anywhere, but once looked up the street to see a Mallard walking along it - nowhere near any ponds. I think it was a bit lost!
