Just joined RSBP since moving from my 2 bedroom flat, after getting married to Paul, into a 3 bedroom bungalow on the outskirts of town, garden backing onto a deep glen with lots of trees and wildlife, birds, squirrels and lofty pines. So we set up a whiryline and hung the bird feeders on it (We had nowhere in the flat to see/feed birds, though Paul was living in Hampshire and was well into feeding birds. I even saw a woodpecker outside his bedroom window)
So now we have lots of blue tits, coal tits, robins, blackbirds, jays, finches, magpies, pigeons, sparrows and at least 2 grey squirrels! We can watch them from our bedroom window, and I can see this occupying a lot of our time during retirement!
And in the end, its not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years. Abraham Lincoln

Hi morninglark
Welcome to the forum from me too.
Watching the birds can get very addictive when you are retired as I know only too well. Look forward to hearing more from you.
