Actually I live in East London, but I am currently visiting my daughter in central Scotland.., as I do about 6 times a year. One of my favourite sights up here are the Common Buzzards, in great frequency. They look so comical perched on roadside utility poles that we now refer to them as 'Grumpies'. I look forward, naturally, to meeting and chatting with everybody Mike (Goldfynche)

Hi Mike , Buzzards are a common sight perched on the fences alongside the M6 motorway. Keep an eye out for them especially as you pass through the Warrington area on your way back south to London.

Did you not realise that most birders' cars have automatic pilot for such occasions ?
