Hi everyone.!
I was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me with a project I am doing. I'm basically after a list of the most popular RSPB nature reserves. Does anyone have one or know where I could get hold of one? Thanks.
Hi shortstacked
I'm sure someone will be able to help you i just wanted to welcome you to the forum..
I take it you've seen the list of reserves under the places to visit tab or on the RSPB homepage..If you don't get a response on the forum you could try ringing RSPB HQ.

Arne seems to be quite popular at the moment, I've head people talk about it recently, not sure where it is located though.

Shortstacked, It depends what you mean by popular. The RSPB will be able to list them in order of numbers of visitors. If you ask any of us here which are the most popular you might just get 200 different answers, in my case it is quite often the last one I visited (or Nagshead).
Visiting the Cotswold Water Park. Have a look at http://cotswoldwaterpark.wordpress.com/
Minsmere is also popular as well. It also depends where you live.

If you are after a list of the top 10 most popular, or a similar list, the only ones who can answer this question are the RSPB themselves. The members of this forum live in all four corners of the UK and also abroad, and although we may have our own personal favourites, we aren't qualified to say which are the most popular. Even the RSPB may struggle to produce such a list as not all reserves are manned by staff, so would have little or no idea how many people visit those particular ones.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi shortstacked, your project sounds interesting, if you don't mind us asking, what is it that you are doing? As mentioned above, you can see all of our reserves on our website linked here.

Thanks for the friendly welcome and the help from everybody - much appreciated.
I had a look at the reserves listed on the RSPB website but there didn't appear to be any attendee figures (exact or approximate).
I was just after a list of say the top 50 or top 100 reserves ranked by order of popularity. If it had attendance numbers on each reserve that would be a bonus, but as it a simple list based on popularity would be great. Thanks again everyone.
