Hello Kath , Everyone is great on here and always willing to help, give advice and point you in the right direction, you'll be happy :-)
April & May can often be beset by the blasts of winter, when a cold wind sends temperatures falling. Since this coincides with the flowering of the Blackthorn, the cold snap is known as a 'Blackthorn Winter'.
Big hi from me too :0)))
An optimist sees the beauty of the complete rose.A pessimist sees only the thorn .
welcome from me! bit late but better late than never!

Hi NiteOwl
I am starting to find my way around a bit now. Really interesting. Loved doing the Birdwatch. The birds are starting to come back in the garden a bit now. Only a few days ago both male and female pheasant started to come and feed from my low feeder for ground birds. Every evening a bluetit roosts in my birdbox at the side of my window.
Hi Kath51 -
Glad to hear you are finding your way, not easy tho' is it! lol It took me ages to find you here, I knew you were as my new phone updates me to incoming msg from anywhere I've posted but it took me a while to search the site. I used to have a male and female pheasant and a couple of years ago they brought all 6 of their offspring in for feeds! I've not seen any of them for ages now except I get the odd glimps of the Male, he looks quite lonely now.
