Urgent help
iztrubal
Hi there I'm quite new into this thing so forgive me if I repeat someone else's question. It took me a while to attract wildlife in my garden and now I'm enjoying the company and the songs of a blue tits' family. I made a lot of effort to keep my neighbours' cats away...

Dead chicks in a nesting box
wjputt
We set up a nesting box with a camera last year. About 3 weeks ago a family of blue tits took up residence. 6 eggs were laid & they all hatched. Sadly all of the chicks appear to have died. We are not sure why this is. W would like some pointers to the reason[s] but also what do we do about the dead...

After The Lord Mayor's Show...

That's rather how this morning feels. Three fantastic days with great weather and of course the arrival in my garden of the BBR's has been followed by a grim morning of non stop drizzle. BR and the BT's were still ready for live mealworms at 6-30am and the members of the sparrow colony have...

The BBR's Are Getting Closer But I Haven't Seen Them Yet
monkeycheese
I arrived home this evening to a rather dishevelled BR. He flew into the kitchen as soon as the door was open and as I suspected he gave me an odd look! The BT wasn't far behind and as soon as BR departed, the BT was on the dish. I watched BR and he took mealies to both of the neighbouring gardens...

Peregrines To Spadgers And Some Other Birds In Between
monkeycheese
Quite an entertaining day today. The 5am start with BR was followed up with a couple of photos of the male peregrine and then I went down to the Thames before work where I spotted a Great Crested Grebe and plenty of mute swans. The ducklings and goslings were nowhere to be seen, but then nor were the...

Mealworm Anyone?
monkeycheese
I have been sitting in the kitchen for the past hour or so watching the starlings and sparrows scrapping over the mealworm feeder. It is complete mayhem! BR has been dining in the more serene kitchen door terrace restaurant and taking his mealworms to the garden three doors down. I have tried to see...

Some Birds At The Park
monkeycheese
And so my morning continued. A short bus ride on the 118 and I was at Ravensbury Park... The first thing I saw was this squirrel chewing on some leaves and stalks. Then there was this individual. Awful photo, but it disappeared as I tried to find a better vantage point. What is it? The twigs...
