We also live facing open farmed countryside . We thought that when moving here 5 years ago the area would provide us with views of many wild birds, but this has proved to be the opposite. In the city of Nottingham the gardens have wild birds, foxes and even squirrels. Here we don't see any sparrows...

Hi I am wanting to clean my nest boxes but at least three of them (3 of 4 that can be seen from the living room) are still being visited occasionally during the day (2 by tree sparrows and 1 by starlings). If I clean them now I am worried about disrupting their night time roosting. Should I just...

Thanks for the info. I do have water in a large dish for the birds but they do use the pond for drinking,large birds from the edge and smaller ones from the plant baskets in the pond. The fence has only recently been replaced so will be putting in more shrubs and climbers this year! My neighbour...
