Anyone else surprised/let down to hear OUR new President say on Fridays Autumnwatch, that she flew to Scotland. I know it was her BBC hat she had on and not RSPB but nevertheless.

How often do we hear from conservation societies we must reduce our carbon footprints and fly and drive less.  7 hours would have taken her from London to Aviemore by train. I know she must have a very busy schedule and time was possibly limited, but was it necessary for them both to be there to bring us the wonderful piece from the Highlands,. If indeed it did require two, was Gordon Buchanan, Scottish, not already here to oblige, or one of the RSPBs many wardens/ volunteers could have helped, - local knowledge etc etc.

Off my soapbox,  it was a brilliant series and thoroughly enjoyed the new format
