  • Re: Bird feeders attached to window, & kept free from Jackdaw and Collar Dove attack - PLEASE HELP!

Many thanks for the suggestion, but alas I have to spend most of my life in this upstairs room, and really would like to see the birds I feed - hence the suction-cup window feeders. Someone suggested putting a wire cage over the window (!) which might be my only line of defence against these clever and...

In that case, the decision now lies with you - most of the deterrents mentioned above and in the previous forum are likely to put the fox off too - you can try soaking the log pile in lemon juice/chilli paste/vinegar and also pasting the entrances with the same, this is likely to put the cat off, but...

The mole is hunting for food while tunnelling so by...

  • Re: CATS!!!

There are a number of sonic devices available. These emit a high-pitched sound that only cats can hear each time they trip a sensor. However, there is only one sonic product that the RSPB recommends and that is Catwatch - http://shopping.rspb.org.uk/p//R0123.htm There is an automated option, the scarecrow...

  • Re: RATS!

In basic terms, rats are attracted to food. Any food that is left out, and easily accessed, can and will be taken by rats, thereby keeping the population fed and sustained. Rats can be a serious risk to health, especially to children. They can destroy and contaminate food stores and carry many forms...
