Goldfinches feeding on an evergreen during the RSPB Birdwatch in a Basingstoke Hampshire garden. When they up and left there could have been anywhere between 40 and 60. By quickly quartering the group and guessing, I think there were over 50; but who knows! They have popped in for the same meal over...

Main feeding station, with current most common visitors

This is a picture of my main feeding station. Currently these are the most common visitors, Greenfinches, Goldfinchers and Siskins. The bird spikes work a treat at keeping the pigeons off as well as a kamikaze squirrel who leaps off the trees onto these feeders, the smaller birds don't seem perturbed...
