greenfinches,where have they gone

hi all.anyone any idea where the greenfinches have gone,this was taken last year have not seen any this year.live in n.wales,and 90% of birds feeding in garden are the sparrows,closely followed by the starlings.is this a general opinion,or native to n.wales at the present time.look forward to any comments regards mags.

One of a couple of dozen Starlings taken yesterday that frequent the gardens of my neighbourhood. They can be very annoying as they tend to be a bit aggressive and chase off the more desirable little birds we would prefer to be our visitors to the feeders. But I suppose they do have to live and survive in our environment. I am starting to get to like the bird as it has some beautiful metallic colours in its plumage especially when the sunlight strikes it and they seems to be very bad tempered not unlike some humans I know.

I put out dries mixed fruit in my back garden around about the pond for the Blackbirds and Thrush's but inevitably along comes Mr Starling and thats my photographic oppurtunities gone (till the next time).

Every afternoon there seems to be a rather large flock doing a figure of eight over my smallholding,they seem to come from next door-I have no idea if they have a dovecote but these are just a few snapped today.
