They can be very annoying as they tend to be a bit aggressive and chase off the more desirable little birds we would prefer to be our visitors to the feeders. But I suppose they do have to live and survive in our environment. I am starting to get to like the bird as it has some beautiful metallic colours in its plumage especially when the sunlight strikes it and they seems to be very bad tempered not unlike some humans I know.

I put out dries mixed fruit in my back garden around about the pond for the Blackbirds and Thrush's but inevitably along comes Mr Starling and thats my photographic oppurtunities gone (till the next time).

Sparrowhawk

Taken Wednesday, 15 February 2012 at 10:36am. Nikon D3 camera at f/6.3, 1/160sec, 400mm ISO-1000.

Female Blackcap

Gorgeous female Blackcap.
