Taken during a manic one hour visit to Inner Farne.

This photo was taken at Blashford Lakes, nr. Ringwood in Hampshire. I had been looking out for the bittern for some time before it emerged from the reeds.

The early morning sun highlights the intricate patterns of the spiders web in the lush grasses.

At Golden Acre Park lake, Leeds, Yorkshire, on 29th March 2011. Pointed out to us by a friendly man with binoculars - we didn't have any at the time. When I looked up bar-headed geese I gather they are becoming more common in the UK and even inter-breeding with other geese.

These prints were left in the snow recently by our back door!

I love strolling along the beach in West Sussex and watching these Herring Gulls. I was lucky on this occasion for one to perch on the end of the break water and not fly away.
