Here is a pic of a female Bull Finch feeding while the male is on guard.

We have been treated to a large flock of Fieldfares and Redwings visiting our garden in St Neots, Cambs for the last week or so, this is the 1st time ive ever had these birds around in winter and have also had 100+ take up home/roost near work too...there does seem to be a lot of them around this year...

This was taken yesterday on the cliffs at St Bees Head in Cumbria. This was our first visit and I'm sure we will be back shortly.

Caught a picture of a male Bull Finch onguard while the female was feeding, see next post. Normally they feed together on the seed feeder but not seen this behaviour before, any ideas?

Hiya, Had a Robin-like bird come into the garden. On further investigation with the binocs and my bird book, maybe a possible Redstart?
