  • Photo: Can you spot the Heron?

Something seemed to spook these gulls but they settled again after a few moments, luckily I had the camera poised. After uploading the picture to my laptop I spotted a heron in the picture as well, can you see it too? The location was Titchfield Haven nature reserve Hants.

  • Photo: Buzzing Spider

I found this Buzzing Spider sunning itself on a leaf in my garden on the outskirts of Bristol. It made no attempt to run when I shot some macro shots. I love macro photography as it enables us to see the small details like the spikes on his legs and his numerous eyes.
  • Photo: Comma - Final Instar Caterpillar

I spotted this unusual caterpillar on some stone in my garden on the outskirts of Bristol. The amazing spikes around its body looked like tiny snowflakes and I couldn't resist grabbing the camera! I found out afterwards it's a Comma - Final Instar Caterpillar.
