RSPB Troup Head reserve is not just for gannets! It also has some of the most beautiful wild flower meadows.

Taken at the Farne Islands in May 2008. This marvellous place is a must if you want to get close to seabirds! The shag is superficially like the cormorant but is smaller and slimmer and has a lovely purple and green sheen to the feathers.
