The Save the Raptors Life+ project managed by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB, BirdLife in Bulgaria) has just launched a new video showing the creation of a giant mural as a way to use modern art to highlight conservation issues.
The 'graffiti' artwork was painted on the front wall of a public school at the very heart of the capital Sofia. The impressive image highlights the globally endangered and stunningly majestic imperial eagle, only 23 pairs of which remain in remote regions of Sakar and West Strandja in south-eastern Bulgaria. BSPB aims to reach young audiences and to leave a long lasting impression of the project.
