Brighton - random thoughts from the Labour Party conference

  • Comments 1

- the sound of chirping house sparrows outside my bedroom window is delightful - and strangely unfamiliar these days

- the  SeaSpray Hotel is a very nice place to stay with friendly staff

- I saw Gordon and Sarah Brown walking on the seafront on Monday morning as I headed to  a breakfast meeting - he didn't look very happy and neither seemed to be checking the herring gulls for yellow-legged gulls

- I thought of going for an early morning swim and then remembered the dead whale at Bournemouth

- I'm told that there was a pigeon flying around the conference hall during Gordon Brown's speech - not one of ours!

- on Wednesday morning the Sun stopped shining on Labour

- I still believe that politicians are basically good people trying to do their best for us and the world

- Brighton is a very nice place and it's a shame that none of the main party conferences will be back there for at least three years

- I am addicted to my Blackberry and felt very twitchy while it wasn't working

- there were an awful lot more policemen with guns in Brighton than Bournemouth

- have I discovered the identity of the campaigner who attends all the party conferences and this year is banging on about living in polytunnels being the way forward?  Maybe - watch this space.

  • Good that you feel politicians trying to do their best for us and the world.I admire your good nature and would obviously find it difficult to think you naive but!!!!

I do agree everyone has to talk to them but personal experience and latest revelations show majority to simply be grabbing for themselves.
