- the sound of chirping house sparrows outside my bedroom window is delightful - and strangely unfamiliar these days

Good that you feel politicians trying to do their best for us and the world.I admire your good nature and would obviously find it difficult to think you naive but!!!!
I do agree everyone has to talk to them but personal experience and latest revelations show majority to simply be grabbing for themselves.
