    Waxwings at The Lodge

There was a flurry of activity around The Lodge this morning when 6 or so waxwings were spotted in some trees in the garden.

I'd never seen one before, so I grabbed some bins and went out to have a look. A small crowd had formed out in the garden and we were treated to a good view as they flitted from one tree to another. They're so beautiful! They've disappeared for now, but hopefully will come back.

    Made my day.

Don't get stressed out trying to choose just one flavour. Why not try all three!

    Great stocking fillers.

Our chocolate is oozing with as many green credentials as it is flavour. It's organic, Fairtrade, free from palm oil and soya AND it's made in the UK.
    £1.99 per bar

    Window feeder

A wonderful way to feed and watch wild birds up close. Great for feeding mealworms, sprinkles, nibbles and bird seed.
    Only £9.99

    Bird magnets

Bring some bling to your fridge and keep notes, photos, shopping lists and keepsakes in place in style.

    Skinny dipper candles gift set

Three gorgeous votive candles in a lovely gift box.
Let the scent of white flowers remind you of summer days, even in the depths of winter.
    Gift-boxed set of three £12.99

    Bee keyring and bookmark

These lovely items would make a great gift for someone who loves gardening and wildlife.
The keyring is pretty, but sturdy enough to keys your keys safe - and the bookmark is slender enough to not get in your way while it keeps your place.
    Buy both for £13.98

    Lord Oliver Wise doorstop

Ever stubbed your toe on a doorstop? OUCH!
Lord Oliver Wise is the perfect companion. As well as being eccentrically cute, he'll stop your door, but never hurt your feet.
    £19.99

    Bird food trial pack

Want to try some new food, but not sure which?
New to bird feeding and don't know where to start?
Our bird food trial pack could be just the thing. It contains five different bird foods, so you can try them on the birds in your garden and see which they like best.
£17.95 - saving 20% on normal retail prices.

    Feeding station

Our feeding station is a best-seller over and over again. With three hooks to hang feeders, a water bowl and a mesh tray, it's a fantastic all-in-one solution to feeding garden birds - and a great gift.

    Echoes ceramic bird bath

Provide essential water for birds in the garden - and do it in style. This lovely glazed ceramic bird bath is as much a garden ornament as it is a practical object.
The first stanza of William Blake’s ‘Auguries of Innocence’ is inscribed around the edge.
'To see a world in a grain of sand, And heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour.'
    £24.99

    RSPB Rambler binoculars

A lightweight roof prism binocular small enough to fit in a jacket pocket. The perfect gift for someone who loves nature and the countryside.
    £89.95

Nest box and bird feeder camera

Create your very own wildlife TV channel!
This versatile and easy to install system gives you the option of watching (and hearing) birds day or night in the nest box or on a feeder, with great quality images.
When the breeding season is over, simply move the camera to the feeder housing and hey presto, a year-round wildlife experience.
    Only £149

The more observant of you may have noticed that our top ten list is actually a top 12.
We got a bit carried away once we started writing our Christmas list!
