Is there a world record for the number of mobile phones donated to charity in one week?
Of course there is - 3,883.

We aim to smash that record by collecting over 5,000 old mobiles between Monday 7 and Sunday 13 February 2011 and we need YOUR help.
Root through your drawers and send in your old mobile phones during this period and we could raise up to £12,000 for conservation.

You can donate your old mobile(s):

• by using the special 'World Record' freepost envelope supplied with the February issue of Birds magazine (also see page 83)
• at collection points at RSPB shops
• by phoning 08451 302010 to request a special freepost envelope.

Make sure you only use the special World Record freepost envelopes and send them in between 7 and 13 February for your donation to count towards the world record attempt.
