I visited Fen Drayton Lakes RSPB reserve near Cambridge for the past couple of Saturdays, hoping to catch the starling roost at dusk. I wasn't disappointed.
Word must have got out, as the car park was full on both occassions. Watching the spectacular display was very much like being at a fireworks display. People were gazing at the sky going 'Ooooh' and 'Aaaaahh'. We were treated to absolutely gorgeous sunsets and stunning displays by the starlings. If you haven't witnessed one of these events, get yourself along to one of the many sites around the UK where you can watch. It's fantastic.
