May each day be better than the last for you all

I've been interested in birdies since I was 7 years old. For some reason I was always winning book awards in junior school  and my very first book (which the school allowed us to choose ourselves) was a birdie book which I've only just 'lost' in my last move ! Now, however, I have the RSPB birdie book with the Great Crested Grebe on the front and if anyone doesn't own it I can assure you, it's the best birdie book I have ever had and it is such good value for money too!

I love the great outdoors and until such time as I can start 'new' things (on my list of goals is sea kayaking and renewing my acquaintance with dinghy sailing) I hike a lot. Favourite stamping spots are Dartmoor, Exmoor, The Cotswolds, The Quantocks, and  the very local Mendips.

Hello, there, Cirrus

Don't know whether the storms hit Bristol, hope you were not affected.

Still thinking of you and have been wondering how you're doing this past week.  Look forward to meeting you again in the group.

Love, goldfinch

Hello Cirrus! I hope you're doing well and watching the Crane camera. I managed to catch them this morning for about 30 minutes and it seems like they're expecting to be grounded on Wednesday as well. The viewing time seems to be at 6:30 a.m. local time for 3 hours or 12:30 p.m. your time ending about 3:30 your time.

They're definitely very entertaining to watch so I hope you can catch them!

Best,

Caerann

Cirrus: thanks for your message on my page.  Sorry that the chat is also causing stress.  Reading your post on chat page, I wonder whether you are unnecessarily receiving emails?  If you go to “My Page” and then to “Change my Profile”, you can control the emails you receive.  This is how I have mine set up, and I only receive notifications of messages on my page (ok, yes there are four copies each time, don’t know why!!) but not any notifying all posts on here!  Hope this helps.

Dear Cirrus,

Sorry this has taken me so long – two overnight stays away so close together not only took a big chunk out of the week, but also sapped my energy.  The first trip was for a concert in Dunblane, overnight there and then to Glasgow SECC for the Good Food Show on the Saturday (now one week ago).  Tuesday/Wednesday was back to Dunblane for an evening meeting, next morning doing some voluntary work networking there, then home via Alloa for a meal with friends.

So pleased you like my sunflower – it was grown about seven years ago in our previous garden in Lancashire.  I chose it because it is yellow for my goldfinch name, but stayed still for a photo, which our many little goldfinch visitors don’t!

With the stress of your hoped-for move and finances, as well as your loyalty to Brenda, you are under an awful lot of pressure.  I hope your wildlife interests and participating in the chat pages help you to put it all aside and take some “me-time” – you really do need to think of your own health and well being.  I am sure the housing market will pick up in the next couple of years, so long as you can hang on for it to improve  - if you can manage it, don’t be pushed into selling at a ridiculously low price!  Moving North worked for us, so I hope it will eventually prove right for you too – especially as you have relatives there.

Prayerfully yours (I hope that means something to you)
