I haven't updated yet!
Hello Richard
I've recently joined the LG Ospreys group and have got a bit hooked on the "tracking" of Rothes & Mallachie. Was looking at a French website tonight and found this - click on the photos to enlarge them.

The sighting was Sunday 6 Sep, the bird is described as immature, ringed and satellite tagged. The ring is clearly White with a black PM which corresponds with Mallachie's.
The big surprise is the location - Barthes de la Nivelle, Ciboure, which seems to be right down on the Basque coast, close to the Spanish border!
The person reporting the sighting, Didier Domec, is asking for info about the bird. Haven't worked out how to contact him yet, wanted to know what you think about the ID, and whether the satellite data you are getting would support this. Haven't put anything in the forum yet.
Regards, Sue C
Sorry to be a nuisance at a time when you must be extremely busy but I have been doing some research and thought you might be interested in the outcome.
I posted a message here if you are interested. It is about the location of Rothes

I didn't want to be the 1st to post a comment on your page and am nervous about doing so...don't want to upset you in any way.
Have you heard about an air date for Country Tracks yet?
Thanks :)
