Hi Maria
You have some more lovely shots in the gallery! My computer however takes so long to load a photo that I thought I would comment on your page instead. Really lovely.
Kerry
I will tell the staff at Vane Farm on my next visit, even if it makes me look foolish!!
It won't be the first or last I guess, thanks again for your help. On the plus side I have two new birds for my photo's today beanie and redpoll!
John :-)
It turns out the Bean Goose was part of a group around ten Greylag at Vane Farm (05/07/09), my local I'm not aware of any mention of Bean Goose at that site. I was clicking away at the Greylags flying in and got some great shots. Plus great reflection shots, the water where they stopped was like glass. I remember being chuffed to bits at getting them shots.
I must remember to stay calm, I can't tell you the number of shots I've Goofed, getting over excited. And now this!!
John.
hi Maria
Thank you for your kind comment on my page. Yes to see a Water Rail was something else - they are so secretative and they are in your sights for seconds and then they disappear once more.
I have completed my new report today and it is posted on the RSPB Forum now if you want to read it. The PC has been a bit dodgy at the beginning of the week so we will get there in the end. Just got some catching up to do at the moment.
Great thread that LucyBob has opened, and it is one way of talking to each other about birds shared between people.
Speak soon
Regards
Kathy and Dave
