hi leicester lass
hope you like my new avatar. this is dillon, our 7 year old golden retriever taken at loch an eilein by aviemore. it is a lovely walk and we always have a quiet moment as we go over a certain bridge as that is where we scattered fingals ashes. our usual daily walks are in culloden forest which is about 100 yards from the house. a lady did a survey here some years ago and she told me it was the 3rd most used wood in the uk. first is the new forest, then a forest near chester. we think ourselves very lucky not to have to drive here. the good thing is that it never seems busy as the forest is vast
Hi Leicester Lass
This is the third time I have tried to comments. Jake is fine by me. I haven't been on for a while, so very busy. Don't know how I will get on with this site, havibng trouble just trying to get this on. Help at the top of the page isn't much help unfortunately. Will just keep trying anf maybe something will work eventually.
hi ll hope you managed to have a good time away, but i know returning home will have been difficult
wonder if you have been watching the red squirrels on the bird feeders at LG. i saw 3 on the feeders i morning and a lesser spotted woodpecker as well. although we have these in our nearby forest (about 100 yds away) we rarely see them as dillon nips ahead to warn them. good to see the osps doing so well, we all hope it continues
hi there
leicester lass
so sorry to hear of your loss. don't know who sally was but presume a dog or cat because of the age. i too - like alan petrie have collars and discs from much loved dog members of our family. i have heard people say that the trauma of losing a pet was so dreadful they would never get another. for me - through the tears i remember the joy and laughter they gave us and the wonderful life we gave them. good you are going away for a few days
