Andre Farrar
Hello - let me tell you a little about myself. I've worked for the RSPB for ages, but my active involvement started with the Leeds local group in the late 1970s. I turned my hand to a wide variety of jobs in the early days and eventaully became the NW region's first Conservation Officer. In the late 80s and early 90s my desk groaned under the weight of endless development plans to comment on and the proposal to build a tidal power generating barrage across the Mersey kept me busy. I have been based at the RSPB's HQ in Sandy since 2000 heading up the media team for most of that time. Now I am focussed on our work to protect the best places for wildlife and telling their stories and supporting the men and women across the UK and overseas who are in the front line of the battle to save our special places.
