The birds are coming back to my garden :-)

I love to watch the birds in our garden and we have a wide variety as the garden backs on to farmland and downland.  I am also very fond of bats and I help with their conservation by being a Natural Engand Bat Warden.  I belong to the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust too and would love to have more time to go out and enjoy all the RSPB and WWT reserves.  One day...

Good afternoon SB,

thankyou for the note regarding my posts.

I'm pleased that members are finding them interesting, I'm a little bit apprehensive at times as I don't want to insult people's knowledge and don't want to appear as though I know all there is to know about birds!  (far from it)

These forums attract all level of birders, so any knowledge that I can pass on is somewhat rewarding.

The post that you are looking for was in wildlife questions on the 11/11/2009

I hope this link will get you there

Hi Lori,

Nice to hear from you again. Im only 20 minutes from Lochwinnoch which is pretty handy for me. I need to get back down there again soon. Unfortunately by the time work is finished, its dark and the weekends seem the only time to see daylight.

I have a few photos but was worried I annoyed folk by uploading them in a short time. Over the years I have been upgrading my camera gear and have done all sorts of photography from weddings to the Davis Cup Tennis and the X Factor finalists tour at Braehead Arena. It was fun meeting folk you see on the TV.  Its not my full time job, but a very serious hobby.

However, I find wildlife photgraphy the most enjoyable, because of how unpredictable it is. Any good shots are very rewarding and I enjoy sharing them with like minded people.

I have booked a weekend next year in the Cairngorm National Park, to try and get shots of the Golden Eagle in its natural surroundings. It will be challenging, but something I really want to try. Scotland is not very warm, leven in Summer, et alone in the Highlands in March :o)

Looking forward to seeing more of your pictures.

Take care

Allan

Many thanks for looking at my photos, it took ages to get a good one of a Puffin in flight, believe me.

If you ever get a chance to see Puffins, the trip will be worth while. They are very curious little birds, and you cant help liking their antics.

I had a look at your phots and they are excellent.

Take care

Allan
