Mad keen about birds especially ospreys.  Having said that I am a lover of all wildlife and will support any organisation in keeping it all safe.  I have an adopted donkey at the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth, Devon and also an adopted gibbon at Monkey World where they do such marvellous work for primates who have been rescued from an awful life.  I must admit when I go there that I get very upset for the way most of them have been treated.  Cannot believe people can be so cruel.  Of course I belong to the RSPB and what marvellous work they do.  I also belong to Wildlife Aid a sanctuary in Leatherhead where they rescue injured wild life of all kinds and in a lot of cases release them back to the wild.  If I could have my life over again I would want to work with wildlife.  Have a garden that is very friendly for all my garden birds and spend many happy hours just watching them.  They are so entertaining especially when they have their babies in the Spring.

Hi there Margobird

I'd forgotten you live in Poole. So near, so close to where Malachie made her Channel crossing. I catch my breath to think you just might have seen her if she had chosen just a small diversion before crossing to the Isle of Wight.  A much better chance than ever I had.

I remember Poole for its Oyster Catchers. What a marvellous sight they are !

Hi Margobird,   Nice to see you back.  I hope you had a nice holiday.

I'm off this week.  Doing quite a bit of walking.  Just love to get outdoors whenever I can. Don't know why I work in an office.  The nights are fairly drawing in now.  Its dark here (Edinbugh) the back of 8.00pm.  What about down your way.  Just thinking about Mallachie.  Take care - Karen

Just read your comment on the EJ page- so glad you enjoy the poems, we all love these birds, don't we, & it brings out our emotional side. I'm sure Garten will be fine & one day we will be saying oooh! as she raises some chicks of her own- just imagine that!!!!
