We have recently enjoyed a short break in Dorset and I was lucky enough to have my first visit to this wonderful reserve which, without doubt, is now my very favourite.
I have a short report on our visit and this can be read on our website at: http://www.southendrspb.co.uk/reports/dorset2010.htm
Can I ofer my heartfelt thanks to the staff at Arne who were more than helpful and took the time to show my wife her first Tawny Owl.

After our first visit today I will echo the thanks of Graham to the staff who were more than helpful in making our day one of the best. After five hours walking around Arne I came away with reasonable shots of Dartford Warber, Whinchat, Tree Pipit, Linnet and Jay (none of which I'd ever seen before let alone photographed). What a great place and such nice people. Thank you all for a great day. All photo's posted on my photostream at:
