Oh how lovely, just tuned in and there is one 'chick' (bit too big now!) perched on the edge of the box with its back to us :-)
Hi PUDWEENA, Just done a check and seen this chick taking cover....
Hi BoL - I got two just now!!
My photos here (eventually)
One sleepy chick in the box shhh!
Hooray - webcam back, gorgeous birdsong (love that Song Thrush) and a fledgling returned to the box
It's so frustrating have no webcam at LG - I'm getting my sound fix from Arne!
Then there were two with another making a racket outside!!!
Hi birdsong and Jot - just logged on again to listen to birdsong - and all I get is the sound of torrential rain - snapped this pic of our young trying to ignore it all - early dark tonight
Watching my kestrels here this evening - lots of noise and mum teaching baby how to terrorise wood pigeon and rook - with a view to kill I suspect while new 'about to fledge' looks on from nest hole and there may be another one will check tomorrow & let you know - there must have been a great gap in egg-laying possibly due to awful weather conditions
Hi Wendy & Jot - well, I was enjoying the birdsong but now it's just torrential rain by the sound of it. No wonder they've sought the shelter of the box.
Wow, brilliant captures BoL and Wendy, just got in and see 2 asleep with the sound of rain in the background. Wonder how long they will keep roosting in the box as last year the webcam was switched to the Barn Owl chicks once the Kestrel chicks had fledged so no idea how long they stuck around for.
Getting my early morning fix of birdsong from Arne (LG webcam still down) and found a fledgling still sheltering from the incessant rain
And with one eye open
Dunnock, Blackbird and Song Thrush are the main singers with occasional higher pitched sounds which I should be able to identify but have forgotten!
Two damp fledglings squabbling
Hi birdsong - headless soggy baby!! Lovely birds singing merrily outside - much activity in my nest this morning - hanging onto edge wing-flapping, about to leave I think!
Hi peoples - this is what I can see from my double doors - have waited all day for one to settle on telegraph pole but ......would they oblige!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see the new camera has arrived then Wendy, that must be great to see them out of your doors like that, the second one is a cracking photo.
Hope to see some of your photos on the other forums if you get any garden birds/wildlife etc.
Regards Alan
My photos are on Flickr and Website
Thankyou doggie (meswelledhead) just wait til I catch the little blighters on the telegraph pole - clarity should be great.....
