Spoonbills (Platalea leucorodia). Middlebere, Poole Harbour, UK. As the tide rose they all scrambled for the most desirable high ground with comical results. 25 on the channel this morning. Taken from the Middlebere side of the channel, but also visible from Arne.

Spoonbills (Platalea leucorodia) on the Middlebere Channel. Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, UK. The gang are back. But possibly a different gang as I didn't spot any of the previously ringed birds. 2 of the 8 loitering out of frame. Taken from the NT's hide opposite Arne.
