    I had watched this bird feeding on the falling tide in front of the double-decker hide. It got gloriously muddy! This picture is one from a sequence I took of its ablutions after the feast. Taken on Sunday 12th March 2011 mid-afternoon.

    A water rail in front of the shipstall hide..45 minutes i sat with the window open freezing and it wouldnt come out for a decent photograph..i am informed that there will be a survey of the "Water rail" soon at Arne .I guess I will have to come back and try again..:-))
