Yes, two of the chicks were slightly lazy last year and took a while to get their feeding habits perfected! However they all managed to leave the nest during the first week in September to migrate to north / west Africa. They’ll spend two years in Africa and then make their way back to the UK to find a partner and breed, they should aim to return to their place of birth although this is never guaranteed and they could end up elsewhere in the UK.
