John & Judith Rogers
This typifies Campfield Marsh on a late April afternoon - sun coming in at a low angle under storm clouds. A wonderful colour combination: dark grey April skies and blazing gorse. Male Great Spotted Woodpecker seems to be hording a small delicacy in hole in the tree trunk. He is already in pristine...

A very short video of the Snow Buntings..................
dipperboy
As promised , a video of the Snow bunting flock that remained at severn beach (Severnside) for a few days. Not the best of footage but captured all the same. Surrounded by twitchers so please excuse the camera shutter noise in the background. http://www.flickr.com/photos/dipperboy/8176434309/in/photostream...

Superb Bank Holiday

Had a great day on Wallasea Island with the family. Parked in the RSPB car park and walked right to the end of the footpath. Did one of the remotest geocaches in Essex. Daughter enjoyed the driftwood benches. Saw quite a lot of other walkers. Weather was really good. Any chance of some temporary toilets...
